Da Paolo - Cluny Court

the Fettuccine con Prosciutto e Funghi 9.5/10

Da Paolo is a great italian place that has 3 main locations. one at club street, one at cluny court and one at holland v. i've been to the cluny court and the holland v one, and out if the two, the cluny court is definitely better. the ambience is better. you walk through a little garden path (which isn't so nice in the day) and you head into the nice restaurant. if you choose to, they also have al fresco available. inside, you have a great view of the kitchen through the large glass pane. you can see all the chefs doing their magic. the one at holland v is along the back row of restaurants, next to where au petit salut is. its all alfresco, and there isn't any air conditioning even inside the restaurant.

spaghetti ai Frutti di Mare 7.5/10

it has a fantastic set lunch there for just 22 bucks, and it comes with appetizer, choice of pasta, dessert and coffee/tea. being the huge pasta fan that i am, i desperately needed to try this place. since then, i've been there countless number of times and probably tried almost everything on their set lunch menu. and i can tell you the best pastas are

1) the Fettuccine con Prosciutto e Funghi 9.5/10
Home made egg pasta with cream

2)Spaghetti ai Frutti di Mare 7.5/10
Spaghetti with tomatoes, garlic and seafood

3)Linguine con Salmone e Asparagi 8/10
Linguine with salmon, asparagus, tomatoes and a touch of cream

4)Spaghetti Aglio Olio e Funghi 9/10
Spaghetti with garlic, olive oil, mushrooms and chill

my personel favorite is the first one, and my second pick would be the aglio olio. this place is really worth a visit if you have time for a weekday lunch. very nice and romantic place too if you want to bring your SO.

linguine con Salmone e Asparagi - 8/10

the pasta is cooked really well, and the portion's aren't too tiny either. you'd get a nice hearty meal that really hits the spot. its really a nice place to go for lunch. its quite and peacful, giving you a really nice relaxing environment to enjoy your quiet weekday.
